identified a few known people. Having interacted with them for a period of time,the community visited their families inperson, built the rapport and invited them to be the members of S.C.B associates .
Adrian Nivas, Geddalahalli sowed a seed of S.C.B Associates on 23″of October 2022 by gathering 7 associates under the leadership of Sr. Precilla and Sr. Savitha with the strong support of the community Sr. Pauline and Sr. Tresa Augustine.
Our first meeting was held at Premanjali in the Novitiate House. We commenced with a rosary in procession together with the Novices asit was the month of October and then introduced the members to the group.
The Synodal theme was explained and made known the importance of laity in the church,by Sr. Precilla. The group was very happy and expressed their eagerness to continue as members of the association.We call them friends of S.C.B until they oomplete their initial stage and lake promises.
On 4 November 2022 weinvijed the friends of S.C.B for St. Charles feast.It was a great occasion ofjoy and togetherness having them partaking in our celebration. We had the Eucharistic celebration and a fellowship meal together. All experienced the belongingness and the family spirit in sharing and caring for each other.
On 19 February 2023 we had a specialgathering. Sr. Dorothy was the resource person of the day.Sister Dorothy explained the role of the laity in the Church and the emerging of the associates
in the church after the Second Vatican Council and in our congregation with the power point presentation. Significant and valid information e)(jllained indetail andin simple terms by Sr.Dorothy made everyone so pleased and inspired. It was the basic foundation for the beginners. Refreshments were served after the meet and session.
We hope to increase the number and continue with more fervor, and see the seed germinating and growing as plant, bearing fruits of spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
