PRISON MINISTRY
Quoting the above words from scripture we Mrs. Mary Fathima and Mrs. Monica Rubina would like to share our experience being part of the PMI and working with the sole aim and goal of changing the lives of the prisoners.
It was a special opportunity offered to us by God to meet the Karnataka Prison Ministry Volunteers as well as the SCB Associates with the Sisters of St. Charles to participate in the 6th State Conference of Karnataka on 4-5th October 2022 at Sannidhi, Pastoral Renewal Centre, Shivamogga. The
conference was based on the theme “Reform to Re-integrate”.
Sr. Theresa Mascarenhas SCB, being the State Coordinator of PMI had taken the initiative to present her Ideas of accomplishing the vision and mission of PMI in the onset of challenging times in the state and made it a remarkable event.
Sr. Helen Moras SCB demonstrated by her co-operation and collaboration and played a great role to make the conference a grand success.” Clapping sounds good only when both hands join.” Both of these sisters’ etched in our hearts and nailed for the success of the Conference at Shimoga.
Again we joined hands with our whole hearted participation in the 13th National Convention of PMI at Goa, from 15th to 18th November 2022 at St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Centre. It has been truly a rich spiritual experience for each one of us being together among the other 400 to 500 volunteers of PMI. This wonderful experience gave us a feel of fellowship and fraternity in the service of the Lord.
We the SCB family hope and pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide each one of us as we involve to execute all the commitments through our mission to serve the least, lost and last of our brethren behind the bars.
On behalf of the associates we salute and express our deepest appreciation to the SCB Family and extend our gratitude for the opportunity to share our team work in these great yet memorable events.
